The Izu hakone Railway Series 7000 was manufactured for rapid train within the Sunzu Line between 1991 (1991) and 1992 (1992).
The first car has three doors at each side and the middle cars have two doors at each side. When the rapid service was operated, the two door intermediate cars were used as a reserved seat cars.
In this form, the side direction curtain was introduced as the first car of the Izu hakone Railway Company.
