Product description ■ This product is an achromatic resin cast kit.
This product is a 1/72 scale full resin kit from the SBS model in Hungary.
This is a French water fighter that was developed by Loir Co., Ltd. around 1933 as a water fighter that can be ejected from the catapult of a warship. It flew for the first time in March 1935.
The structure of the fuselage has been the same as that of the previously developed gal-wing single-leaf high-wing Loir 46. However, the main wing has been changed to a newly designed low wing that can be folded in order to be stored in the ship.
The results of the launch test from catapult were good. As a result of the examination by the Navy, 20 aircraft were ordered in March 1937.
The launch test from catapult was started in August 1939. Only 3 months later, 5 aircraft were lost due to an accident caused by a structural defect of the main wing. As a result, the remaining aircraft were stored on the ground and the operation was suspended.
The kit comes with etching parts, white metal parts, transparent film for the instrument panel and 2 kinds of decals.
The full resin kit for the SBS model was born from the viewpoint of a modeler.
